Shoe Collection for Hearts & Hands United

Hearts & Hands United Back-to-school Giveaway
Saturday, July 27, 10am – 2pm, Fairgrounds Memorial Building

This event is for children who live and attend school in Delaware County. Goals are to provide school supplies and a NEW pair of shoes for students who are not able to afford them. Each organization that helps has one size, one gender- ensuring there will be enough shoes in each size to meet the needs of the Back to School Distribution on Saturday, July 27.

Hazelwood has been asked to provide 50 new pairs of boys/men’s size 9 athletic shoes. We are collecting now through Sunday, July 21. There will be a tote in the Rotunda for the donated shoes. Please remove shoes from boxes, tie laces together, and place in the tote. Thanks!

UPDATE:
We reached our goal of 50 pairs of new, size 9 boys/men’s athletic shoes! The congregation donated 43 pairs, and 7 pairs were purchased from donations to the Sulanke Trust account. Thanks to all who participated and helped to put smiles on many faces as the children prepare to begin a new school year.
